Long or Short Hair- You decide!

So I am taking a vote here. Should I cut my hair short or leave it long. If you scan down you will see me with long hair. Let me know if you care!

OPA and OPA- Here is a picture of my Dad (Glenn Van Komen) and his Dad (Jan Van Komen). Love my OPA's hair. By the way my Dad was one of the twins born to a family of 11 and they were the last of those children born. So my OPA was no spring chicken but you would never have guessed it. He was always so full of energy and happiness.

Here is my Dad's whole Family. I would tell you who was who but I would just slander the spelling of their names, (most of them are Dutch names). Look how young and handsome my Dad looks. He had a great relationship with all of his family members. I hope my kids and I have that same relationship.

Here is an early picture of my Dad and his twin brother Jan. I am guessing it's christmas, due to the tree behind them.

This is me being a good mom! The kids are watching a movie during the day on Saturday. It did rain most of the day but still...













I tried to make these egg baskets for Easter this year. At first I thought it would be a great Mom and Kids project. Then we started and what a mess. They turned out pretty well. This one looks more like a basketball (You pop the balloons) I will try to get another picture of them, but definitely not a kid project!!










You got to teach them while they are young. Caiden is almost 2 (in June) and I am totally falling behind in my Teach them to do it all schedule.
He loves to get up there and make a huge mess. But he is so darn cute!












So I tell Caiden that before he can go outside he needs to grab a hat and gloves. So he went to the basket in the closet and pulled out Cali's hood to her coat. He was trying to get outside with-out changing it. Hilarious!!

I love taking pictures of myself . Man do I need my hair dyed or what! Still here's a picture for my parents. What a cute kid you have!

Valentines night I actually got to do my hair. So I took a picture of it so I could remember this event that happens once a year. We went to a party at our friends house and on the way there I stop and bought this necklace. It's even cuter in person.

We finally got a piano of Craigslist. $300 and our kids are not that nice to it so I am glad it was cheap. Won't start the kids lessons till August but we got the piano and the old lady smell that came with it.

Cali's Birthday

Here are some pictures of Cali's HUGE Birthday party. We invited 12 children and it was a blast!
-We had pizza
- A pinata ( it's a penguin)
- I made cupcakes with green flowers on them.
- Here is colton making a necklace with wood beads.
- Here's Cali opening all her wonderful presents. Great more stuff to clean up.

Our Home in Omaha, Nebraska

I know it has been over a year since we moved here but hey don't rush me! Here are the pics people requested of my home. The two purple pics are Cali's room and the City Scape is Colton and Caidens room,(still in progress- it's suppose to have spider man swinging around it.) The room with the polk-dots is the loft. Or a fancy way of saying storage for all my kids crap! All these rooms are upstairs and the doors in the loft are the ones to Cliff and my room. I will have to post other pics later.

HALLOWEEN IN OMAHA, NE 2009

Here is a few pics from halloween. Everyone asks me what I am going to be. I told them this year I was going to be a Red Power Ranger, The Little Mermaid and a super cute Lion. After getting my kids all dolled up I have very little desire to dress-up so I wear a Hat! This year we went to 3 different things that we had to wear our costumes. Now I know why Halloween was such an exhausting holiday for my mom and she had 5 kids to dress-up. Hopefully my kids will have as good of memories of Halloween as I do.
